Mimzy totally Lush-spoiled me and I felt cheap for giving her a damned rock xD

Sang some songs, China Doll disappeared, realized it's not big enough to hold a wedding, came home.

The haul: As stated, Miriam gave me a ton of yummy Lush things with which to clean myself (Evidently I stink! lol jk) Freck gave me a hilarious card and had previously taken me to Bourbon Street for food as a gift. My Mom gave me a flat iron and many foods. My Grandma gave me a cheque for $40 (written by my stepmom, more on that later) Baldy got my hairs did, and surprised me with gorgeous flowers on the first, and paid for my meal on the 5th. My Dad etc gave me a gorgeous duvet set and curtains all in black and red (SICK) which is exactly what I needed and had asked for. Brad made me a mix CD, even though we'd never met. I got many cards and well-wishes, too!
All in all, a pretty sweet booty :D

So, my grandma has had cancer for awhile, and she didn't want some family to know, so I couldn't say anything. But it spread to her brain. And she had a stroke. And then she was going to do intensive radiation to buy her time until Christmas. But last night, she didn't know who anyone was, didn't know who SHE was. So she's in the hospital and won't be going home.

I'm not sure how to feel about it. I mean, I'm SAD, but we've never been close and I never felt that she liked me, so I don't know... I feel like I should feel sadder? Does that make sense?

I hope I get to see her one last time.

I have an A+ average in all of my subjects. The school wants to use one of my essays in their next texts. I'm not sure which one. I wish it was a paying gig.

I've found out that my funding won't be in jeopardy if I decide to get a seasonal job, so I might just print off some resumes at school tomorrow and then apply across the street. Some extra cash for the holidays would be sweet.

My roomie got fired with absolutely no warning, which sucks because it's the only job she's ever had and she's been there for eight years. Thankfully, she has money in her savings and still has OSAP monies to fall back on.
Rod? You're a pompous asshole. If I ever see that guy on the street, Ima kick him in his rod!
Then the Daddy-Man decided to get all up in her fries and scream at her for not being able to sell his house and for having money problems (like that's in any way her issue!) I'm going to kick The Daddy-Man right in his Daddy-SACK!

I'm excited for my birthday! 26 is a nice number, and the party on the 5th is going to be SUPERFUN!

I have decided once and for all that I am going to take small business/entrepreneurship, because I hate having a job, and if I can work from home then I can have kids and be there for them how I want.

I am trying to make a bunch of Christmas gifts for people. I have made my sister a necklace and earrings (going to make her another necklace) and I am working on a scarf for Baldy. I'm going to buy them gifts as well, but I know some people appreciate handmade gifts as well.

Friday, I start sending out Christmas cards! Whoo! Not going to forget or procrastinate this year!

I'm going to remake my mood icons.

...I'm not sure why but this passage from Anna Karenina by Tolstoy is stuck in my brain.

"Mihailov meanwhile, although Anna's portrait greatly fascinated him, was even more glad than they were when the sittings were over, and he had no longer to listen to Golenishtchev's disquisitions upon art, and could forget about Vronsky's painting. He knew that Vronsky could not be prevented from amusing himself with painting; he knew that he and all dilettanti had a perfect right to paint what they liked, but it was distasteful to him. A man could not be prevented from making himself a big wax doll, and kissing it. But if the man were to come with the doll and sit before a man in love, and begin caressing his doll as the lover caressed the woman he loved, it would be distasteful to the lover. Just such a distasteful sensation was what Mihailov felt at the sight of Vronsky's painting: he felt it both ludicrous and irritating, both pitiable and offensive."

School is ok. I am doing really useless crap in math and I hate it. I don't understand how this program can cater to different areas of study, but at the same time force everybody to take science-related math. JUST LET ME SKIP TO COLLEGE PREP BUSINESS MATH PLEASE.

My comm teacher is awesome and is basically acing me without even seeing my work because she knows I can write. She's letting me unofficially attend afternoon classes because I don't like the morning. Pretty sweet.

I finished my computers course in about a month. It was really easy. I did my final PowerPoint presentation on a small business I'd like to open and run on the side. I decided not to bother with Excel unless I decide on a program that has it as a prerequisite, which is unlikely. It would only take me a few days to do that section in that case, but it's not necessary to finish. My final grade for computer is 98%. I'm glad it's done, it was so boring.

Maybe I should take journalism? I'm pretty decent at writing when I actually try, not that you could tell from this journal!

Anywho, I hate math, I like to write, I dressed up like a scary prostitute for Hallowe'en, and this weekend, Eric is taking me to get my hair done (cut and colour) and pick out an outfit, as an early birthday gift. I decided I didn't want a Nintendo DS, since it only takes me about ten minutes to get to school, so I'm not sure when I would ever play it.

I haven't had a proper hair cut in about three years. I hate having long hair.

NO I AM NOT DOING NANOWRIMO! I will try again in a couple of years, when I'm not in school and when I can focus.

But I am too cheap for film. This is the kind that you can either make little pictures or sticky pictures.
$5

DISCO BALL!
I just tested this and it works fine, it just needs a new bulb (the little pointy ones, like from Christmas)
I kinda don't even want to get rid of this, but I need to make space and I rarely have the occasion to turn my living room into a disco, so... Meh.
$5

Perfect Paw - Never used on my dog because her nails were too big to fit! So I think this is best for small dogs or cats or like a small child or something... Just kidding, DO NOT use this on your kids.
$3

Starbucks Travel Mug - Limited Edition greenish colour
As is evidenced by the dust on top (I will wipe it off, I promise, though it's not like you won't wash it before using it anyways) I have never used this mug. I'm not actually sure why I bought it, I don't even like the colour green that much... OH I remember now, I had bought it for my sister, but she bought herself one before I could give it to her.

DO YOU LOVE HOCKEY?!?!?! I don't care. Anyways, this is a Ottawa 67's Dog Tag
I'm pretty sure it's stainless steel.

Super cute blue, silver, and pearly white stretchy bracelet.
I am self conscious of my wrists. There, I admitted it. So I don't really wear bracelets. I wore this once.

Watch and jewelry set
I love this set, but I never wear brown. I have worn the watch, bracelet, and necklace once. I have never worn the earrings. I know the price says $199 but that is not what was paid! lol
The watch needs a new battery (I had it checked to be sure the watch was fine) but it's a standard $2 one, so no worries there. I hate to let this go, but I hate to see it just sitting there even more.

Super cute shiny purse
Cute and fits more than a lipstick (who is with me against those tiny little bags?!)
$5
If you are interested in a gorgeous matching floor-length ball skirt in size 22(?) let me know.

And I don't have pics of the video games because they're at my BF's house, but:

Call Of Duty 4 for PC (DVDs, not CD's!) in mint condition, played twice.
$25

Unreal Tournament 3 for PC (DVDs, not CD's!) in mint condition, played once.
$10

X-Posted variously, sorry for any possible annoyance (I'm really just saying that)

A quick update, because I need to run off and get ready and fix my nails and hair. Freck, Eric, and I are going to Zaphod's tonight to see Ryan FREAKIN' Dahle! One of my most loved musicians from back in the 90's :D

I still don't know why my Nenna icon won't upload... GIF, 12k, 100x100... What the fuck is the issue?! FB message says it must be 100x100... UH. WHAT. Anyways.

I used eBay for the first time and bought a PS2 Neopets gave for like $3! :D
I never thought I'd get that game but hey, it was cheap and now I know how to buy stuff on eBay.

Eric and I are starting to figure/pick out wedding stuff. No date yet, but we've talked to the owners of the venue I want and they're all for it, as expected. No idea who will marry us. Anyone been ordained, that I don't know about? xD
OGOD my ring is so beautiful, I can't wait to wear it (I don't want the whole engagement/wedding/anniversary ring set thing, just one ring, so I'm wearing a Claddagh until the wedding.)

School is ridiculously easy so far. I understand math! Who knew?

Freck started her program at her beauty school. The cool thing is, none of her family will go and she is the only part time student, so when she needs to practice on somebody, I'm there! Whee! Free manicures and pedicures and facials n junk! :D

The geese are flying south. Cue depression.

After many failed attempts at other kinds of blog, I am thinking about starting another kind of blog... But, instead of limiting myself to a theme (poetry OR comics OR art) I'm just going to go ahead and post whatever I feel like. Not personal stuff, that is for my LJ.

Anywho, gotta go. Hopefully will have pictures to post (thank God Eric has a camera!)

So Algonquin messed up and now I start on the 21st. Ok.

Eric and I are back together and he is really really trying to make it work. He's being super sweet and caring and nice and fun and all that good stuff. I hope it lasts.

My rag was really late and I was afraid I might be preggers, so we bought some tests (three, so we could do two to be sure and the third in case we got two different results) and both were negative. WHOO! Then, like, a half hour later, I started bleeding. I swear my body just likes to fuck with my mind. Ima go back on Depo.

Saturday is our housewarming shindig. I'm excited for it, but I have so much to do and I sincerely doubt Freck will lift a finger to help. She's been my bestie since the 8th grade but it's true what they say - you never really know someone until you live with them.

So, when you are thinking about what college program to take, what is the best way to figure it out?

LJ POLL OF COURSE! :D

OPTION 1:

Office Administration - Executive
Program #0210A01FWO
2 Year(s)

This two-year Ontario College Diploma program is designed to train students to become fully qualified executive assistants able to work in any administrative field including select legal environments, such as, intellectual property.

The program is divided into four levels and provides students with extensive knowledge and skills in the formatting, transcription, and preparation of office documentation, an understanding of Canadian business and legal concepts, and an opportunity to apply executive office procedures. Emphasis is placed on the practical demands of the job: organizing activities, preparing professional documents, interacting with the workforce, meeting deadlines, working under pressure, accepting responsibility, and demonstrating initiative. In all four levels, students participate in simulations of office environments dealing with realistic problems and solutions. Students develop high-level word processing, presentation, Internet, email, project management, spreadsheet, and database skills in a network environment.

Office Administration - Executive students may complete three additional courses to receive an Office Administration - Legal diploma.

The program is continuously updated to meet current industry trends and requirements.

SUCCESS FACTORS

This program is well-suited for students who:

* Enjoy working in an office environment.
* Like using computer and technology applications and enjoy a "hands-on" approach to learning.
* Possess good communication (written, verbal, technology) and interpersonal abilities.
* Are well-organized, pay attention to detail, and can work effectively under time constraints.

Pros:
Only two years
Many jobs I can get out of this
I have experience
Option to get Legal Office Admin diploma as well, if I wanted to (??)

Cons:
Boring as shit
I dunno if I could be happy being an office monkey for long...

OPTION 2:

Library and Information Technician
Program #0440X01FWO
2 Year(s)

This two-year Ontario College Diploma program provides students with the knowledge and skills required to carry out the tasks normally performed in two main functional areas of libraries and information resource centres: technical services and public services. Technical services involve manual and automated operations related to acquiring, processing, and organizing all types of informational materials. Public services involve making information available to the public and conducting research using a variety of print and electronic resources. Theory is reinforced by practice.

Library technicians are service-oriented, meet deadlines easily, and work with minimal supervision.

Students test their knowledge and skills through field placements in schools, public and special libraries, and other information services. Field work is scheduled for three-week periods in Level 03 and Level 04.

SUCCESS FACTORS

This program is well-suited for students who:

* Have good English communication skills (oral and written).
* Possess a good general education.
* Are well-organized and have an analytical nature.
* Pay attention to detail and work with a high degree of accuracy.
* Enjoy working with people.
* Can work independently.

Pros:
Liberries rock
I like books
I like working mostly alone
I would feel good helping people get interested in reading and OPL has great programs I support
BOOKS, yo. I love reading. Awesome.
I also love organizing and filing. Weird, I know.

Cons:
I may not get a job right away
Might not get a job in a liberry, could be in a hospital or other records

OPTION 3:

Business Administration - Human Resources
Program #0216X01FWO
3 Years

* Accounting
* Financial Services
* General Business
* Human Resources
* International Business
* Marketing
* Materials and Operations Management

The Business Administration program provides students with the business expertise and employable skills required for a rewarding career. In the six levels of study, students gain a solid foundation in all of the business functions, as well as, the communication, planning, teamwork, and analytical skills that are in high demand by the business community. Through an active advisory committee of business professionals and close relationships with employers, the program is continuously updated to meet the current demands of today's organizations. These relationships provide students with networking opportunities, and bring business people into the classroom to share their experiences. In the first three levels, students learn the fundamentals of business. In the final three levels, students select their major area of study from the following Majors: Accounting, General Business, Financial Services, Human Resources, International Business, Marketing, and Materials and Operations Management.

SUCCESS FACTORS

This program is well-suited for students who:

* Have good organizational and leadership abilities.
* Are curious, well-organized, and have an analytical nature.
* Enjoy working in a dynamically driven environment.

CO-OPERATIVE EDUCATION OPTION
The opportunity to gain paid work experience in the field during your Business Administration studies is available through the co-op options offered within the Materials and Operations Management and International Business Majors. There are also work placement opportunities within Human Resources Management. Please see the program coordinator for further details.

(Just an FYI I would probably do a HR Major)
(Also, WTF poor sentence structure and typos, Algonquin!)

Pros:
Co-Op and Work Placement
I would be well-suited for this type of work
*INTERESTING*
Most likely get a decent job straight outta school, and I doubt if it would take me long to work up to a good position.

Cons:
THREE FREAKIN' YEARS.

View Poll: SHOOLE

THANKS GUISE! :D

Look, a pony!     <lj:music>Beautiful silence!</lj:music>

So I'm doing this stupid Facebook quiz about "what kind of girlfriend are you??" *snicker* and one question is:

2. Your partner was suppose to bring you back a turkey and mayo sandwich, but accidentally brought you turkey and mustard. You..
-Refuse to eat the sandwich, or speak to your partner for that matter, until he or she goes back out to get you what you asked for.
-Tease him or her, and then eat it anyways (not much of a difference, right?)
-Tell your partner your ex never messed up their orders.
-You start to cry and complain until he or she goes back out to the deli.

And here I am looking for the option "WTF! Boyfriends bring sandwiches?! NO WAY!!!" and I realize that I really don't expect much and this is probably why, after a few months of dating, I inevitably begin to wish whoever I am with at the time would go away xD

Also, turkey and mayo?? EW. Give me mustard over mayo any day. Except on a club, I guess.

I wish there was a way to date without dating. I hate dating. I like the relationship part, but dating is so awkward and irritating to me. Gah.

Additionally, maybe I should date a chick. 'Cause guys don't feel/see things the way chicks do, so maybe that would mitigate any of those arguments "Why are you so callous?!?!?!"
Then again, I would definitely miss the penis.

Bah. To hell with it all. It's not like I can be in a relationship right now anyways, I don't even have a damn job!
